How To Place a Support Locator

Click the Support Locator

icon from the Operations ribbon group.

Left-click the pipe component where the locator will be placed then left-click again to accept.

The Properties Dialog displays.

Define values for the property fields in the dialog as necessary.

When finished defining properties click OK.

The Path Placement Dialog displays and a ghosted image of the locator is affixed to the cursor.

Use the mouse to slide the locator along the pipe length to the desired location.

(Optional) Use the Path Placement dialog to determine the placement point by defining the distance from the determined point on the pipe. The relative point can be changed in the Relative To field.

(Optional) Change the Rotation of the locator using the Rotation field in the Path Placement dialog.

To place the location, click OK in the Path Placement dialog or left-click two times to confirm the location and placement.
